In a press release sent out earlier today, EA Rawlinson Centre For the Arts Marketing and Events Coordinator Cara Stelmaschuk wrote, "On Friday, November 27th new regulations will be in place limiting gathering at performance venues like ours to 30 people. The previously planned livestream featuring Regina’s Jeffery Straker will proceed, but we will not be able to entertain a live audience in our auditorium. Starting tomorrow our Box Office staff will be contacting all ticket holders with their refund options. Anyone wishing to purchase a livestream ticket can visit https://tickets.citypa.ca/TheatreManager/1/online?performance=1983. Livestream ticket prices are available from $10 to $100, just pick what you think is fair!"
This latest announcement will effect both the Dec. 4th and Dec. 5th "Very Prairie Christmas" shows planned by Straker. It's fortunate the show is still able to proceed within the Rawlinson itself and hopefully many will opt to choose the online option so that we can continue to support live music in Prince Albert. As stated in previous NSMZ articles, the arts in general are going through some tough times but continue to persevere. Straker's show is going to be fantastic. Let's support it the best we can.
